The Franklin Youth Jimmy Fund 3 on 3 Tourney is an annual tournament. Our 7th Annual Tournament will be held on the Dr. Martin Luther King School holiday Monday January 21, 2013. (Registration 11/1/12-12/1/12)

The tournament will be held at  the Horace Mann & Oak St gyms from 8AM-8PM and the Sullivan School from 9-1PM. Participation is open to all Franklin Boys & Girls in grades 1-8 ).  (High School Students also volunteer to ref the games and help with the clinics.)

The events and competitions are designed to be age-appropriate based on grade and gender.   The youngest kids will participate in clinics and the older kids in more competitive tournament play. Further detail on the structure for each grade can be found via the "Divisions by Grade" Page.

A major component of this tournament  is the Jimmy Fund. In the six years of the tournament we have raised over $19K for Dana Farber.

1st Annual: $2145 (161 B/G  Players, 31 High School  Students Volunteered) [1/16/06]

The majority of registration fee of the youth participants  covers the gymtime and shirts.  The generosity of the local Business/Corporate and Family Sponsors each year comprises a significant amount of our Jimmy Fund Donations.  (See "Sponsor Page" for a history of sponsors and details if you are interested in sponsoring. All sponsorships at 100% donations to the Jimmy Fund as all tournament expenses are covered by the participants. See "Accounting Page")

This event is not organized as part of the Town Recreation Basketball Program and is an independently run event leasing the gymtime from the Franklin School Department.  We receive recognition as an approved Jimmy Fund event  from Dana Farber.
